Pennsylvania House of Representatives

The Pennsylvania House of Representatives is the lower house of the bicameral Pennsylvania General Assembly. Alongside the Pennsylvania State Senate, it forms the legislative branch of the Pennsylvania state government. The authority and responsibilities of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives include passing bills on public policy matters, setting levels for state spending, raising and lowering taxes, and voting to uphold or override gubernatorial vetoes. There are 203 members in the House of Representatives, elected for two-year terms.

District 30

Pennsylvania State House District 30 consists of:

  • Shaler - Wards 2-7 (ward 1 is in District 21)

  • Hampton - All wards

  • Richland - All wards

  • Fox Chapel - All wards

  • O'Hara - All of wards 2 and 3; parts of ward 4 and 5 (ward 1 and parts of ward 5 are in District 32; part of ward 4 is in District 21)
